I want something I cannot lose
For something I could never keep
it's what you promised

Trouble is all I've got to go on's faith
And I have never been so great at believing

Maybe that's why I'm so stuck on grace
'Cuz I know I won't measure up
In any other way (not ever)

I believe I believe

When temptation comes sniffin 'round
Sometimes I take it lying down
like a victim

Then I go looking for some big hole
Big enough to hide away
from my ego

I think the hard part's forgiving me
It's not like its a first offence.
Repeat offender
Then I wrestle with how to accept your grace
how to bend my knee
Flat on my face

I believe I believe

I know it's not so easy
I won't pretend it's easy
Won't tell you that it's easy
i've got no regrets
